Complete satisfaction after conversion
In 2010, the operator MEGGLE GmbH & Co. KG in Wasserburg am Inn became familiar with the functioning of FRANKE-Filter Oil Mist Separators.
In February 2016, the power plant manager of MEGGLE expressed the desire to replace the existing electrostatic filter with an Oil Mist Separator. The decision was made in favor of a product from FRANKE-Filter.

Solution: a custom-built Oil Mist Separator
A sales representative visited the operator in Bavaria in Germany to carry out an as-is survey of the conditions on site. A volume flow measurement was done on the suction pipe and on the exhaust pipe (clean air). After further clarifications, including specifications, drawings and process schemes, the customer decided on a customized Oil Mist Separator in a redundant design with an integrated oil recirculation via a collecting tank (intermediate tank).
Commissioning and adjustment
In November of 2019, the Oil Mist Separator was installed and put into operation. Pressure fluctuations and an oil accumulation were quickly resolved after another visit.

Result: Clean air and a very satisfied customer
In January 2020, the TÜV Süd measurement confirmed that the residual oil content on the exhaust air is 6-8mg/m³. MEGGLE is very satisfied with the implementation and the quick reaction and problem solving of FRANKE-Filter. The customer would also like to convert the Oil Mist Separator to frequency converter operation so that any pressure fluctuations that occur during turbine start-up are compensated for.

FRANKE-Filter thanks the operator MEGGLE and those responsible for the good cooperation and is pleased about the positive and satisfying result achieved at the end of the project.
