State-of-the-art fertilizer complex in Mexico gets equipped with FRANKE-Filter oil mist separators

Three oil mist eliminators in different sizes and a redundant design in stainless steel with 316/316L finish are complementing the rotating equipment of a newly erected fertilizer plant with a capacity of 2.200 MTPD (metric tons per day) in Topolobampo.

This large-scale plant will save C02 – even already during production - and thus ensures efficient generation of ammonia. Ammonia is an important factor in the production of food for a growing world population, as it can be used for the low-carbon production of fertilizers. Currently, 80% of the world's annual ammonia production of over 170 million tons is used for fertilizer production. The use of ammonia as an energy source for hydrogen will further increase this figure in the future. We are pleased to contribute to this low-carbon project by enhancing air quality and absorbing the oil mist around the rotating equipment of this complex.
