Individually-designed Oil Mist Eliminators for FPSO Tortue in West Africa
Posted on |
FRANKE-Filter is pleased to announce our participation in the FPSO Tortue Ahmeyim project on the maritime border of Mauritania and Senegal.
The Tortue/Ahmeyim gas field is located offshore in West Africa and contains estimated resources of 15 trillion cubic feet of gas.
The mid-water floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel will produce gas from an ultra-deep water subsea system. The initial subsea infrastructure connects the first four wells consolidated through production pipelines leading to this FPSO.
The construction for the vessel is expected to start in the second half of 2019 while the start of commercial production is scheduled for 2022.
The vessel processes the gas by removing heavier hydrocarbon components. The gas will then be transferred to a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility at a nearshore hub that is located on the Mauritanian and Senegalese maritime border. The FLNG facility is designed to provide approximately 2.5 million metric tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year on average.
